Community

A community in rooms small enough to talk.

Beyond one-to-one introductions: Circles of about thirty verified members, a group chat for each, and people free to meet in your city.

Circles

Circles: thirty seats, one topic.

A Circle is a small, topic-led room inside the app. Every member in it has been checked by a person.

  • About thirty members, one topic, usually for four weeks.
  • A new question arrives at 07:00 IST every morning.
  • Anyone can read any Circle. Ask for a seat to answer, and join as many as you like.
  • Each Circle has its own group chat. When the Circle ends, the chat stays readable but closes to new messages.

A Circle, start to finish

How a Circle runs.

  1. Find one in the Circles tab

Browse by topic and read along before you join.

  2. Ask for a seat

A seat lets you answer the morning question and post in the group chat.

  3. Answer the question of the day

One question at 07:00 IST. Read what the others said, and reply to the answers that interest you.

  4. Keep talking in the group chat

Everyone with a seat shares one chat, from the Circle or your Matches tab.

  5. Carry it into one-to-one

Met someone worth knowing? Send them a request, and the usual rule applies: both of you say yes.

In person

Beyond the Circles.

The community also meets in person, and helps its members meet each other.

Instant Meetups

Free right now? See who else is.

Say you’re free for 1, 3, 6 or 12 hours, until midnight, or any time up to 48 hours. People see your city, never your exact spot, and a chat opens when they accept your meetup request.

New members near you

Every Saturday: who joined near you.

Every Saturday at 11:00 IST, Apna Saathi tells you how many new members joined in your city, or your state if your city had none. No one new, no notification.

Warm introductions

Introduce two people you know, if both agree.

In a work chat, suggest one of your other connections to the person you’re talking to. It goes ahead only if both of them say yes.

Connect tools

Common ground, ask or offer, and coffee.

In a work chat, see what you have in common, ask for advice or offer help, suggest a time for coffee, or introduce someone you both should know.

Guidelines

House rules, kept by people.

Circles work because everyone in them is real and accountable.

  • Every member is verified by a person before they can join a Circle.
  • Report any Circle answer or reply from its menu. A person reads every report.
  • A block applies everywhere at once, Circles included, and the other person isn’t told.
  • Circles live only inside the app. Nothing in them is public or findable online.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

A small group inside the app: about thirty verified members, one topic, usually for four weeks, with a new question at 07:00 IST each morning and a group chat for everyone with a seat.

As many as you like. Anyone can read any Circle; ask for a seat when you want to answer.

Its group chat stays readable, so nothing is lost, but it closes to new messages.

No. Circles are for members only, inside the app. Nothing in them is public or findable online.

Use Report from the three-dot menu on any profile, conversation, Circle answer or reply, or write to info@officersaathi.com. A person reads every report, and reports are never shown to the person reported.
