IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS and other senior officers join with one document from their service, such as a service ID card, a posting order or a salary slip. You must be 25 or older.

Qualify with a salary of ₹50 lakh+, business turnover of ₹5 crore+, a net worth certified by your CA, or two referees who vouch for your place in your field. One document is enough; a person checks it, and you must be 25 or older.

Sons and daughters of serving officers or Elite Professionals can join from 22, with a birth certificate naming the parent. The parent sends an invite code, or our team checks the parent’s details.

Everyone confirms who they are on DigiLocker, giving permission on DigiLocker’s own screen. The photo it shares is deleted 90 days after we decide on your application.

Look at the camera, then copy two poses picked at random, and a reviewer matches it to your photos. Members never see it, and it’s deleted after 90 days.

Our team checks your documents, identity and selfie before anyone can see you. While you wait, you can finish your profile, preview it, or message the team.

Share an invite code from the You tab, then confirm in the app that your son or daughter used it. You get 2 Credits when they’re approved.

After 07:00 IST each day, we pick one member for you, with a short note on why you two should meet. Miss it, and tomorrow brings someone new.

Filter by role, service, cadre, batch, city, industry, what people are looking for and more. You get 7 requests a day, so each one counts.

Say what you’re here for, and every request shows it: work contacts, friendship, marriage or people in your city. They know why you wrote before they reply.

Before you connect, people see two of your photos, one prompt and the basics. Family, religion, horoscope and everything else open only when you both say yes.

A request turns into a chat only when the other person accepts. Tap "Not now" and you’re hidden from each other for two weeks, or for good, and the sender is never told.

Undo a pass free within 60 seconds. After that, bring them back within 48 hours for 1 Credit, and they’re never told.

Search members by name, and save a profile from its menu. Your saved list lives on the You tab.

Put your profile in front of every member for 30 minutes to 3 hours. It costs 3 to 10 Credits, which you earn in the app and never buy.

Say you’re free, for an hour, until midnight or up to 48 hours. People see your city, never your exact spot, and a chat opens when they accept your meetup request.

In a work chat, suggest one of your other connections to the person you’re talking to. It goes ahead only if both of them say yes.

Every Saturday at 11:00 IST, Apna Saathi tells you how many new members joined in your city, or your state if your city had none. No one new, no notification.

After a few messages each way, a small card asks how it’s going. The other person never sees your answer; it only helps us make better introductions.

A chat opens when you both accept. Reply, react, star messages, pin up to two chats and mute the rest; a chat with no messages for 14 days closes.

Fix a text message once, within 15 minutes of sending. Unsend any message within 4 hours, and it disappears for both of you.

Tap the mic to record, then tap again to send or discard. Lift your finger and nothing is lost; notes run up to two minutes.

Only the person you send it to can open it, and only once. You see when it’s opened, and the file is deleted soon after.

Every chat has games: Question dice, This or That and Two Truths and a Lie, plus Match Meter when marriage is on the table. Your answers never appear on your profile.

In a work chat, see what you have in common, ask for advice or offer help, suggest a time for coffee, or introduce someone you both should know.

About thirty members, one topic, usually for four weeks, with a new question at 07:00 IST. Anyone can read any Circle; to answer, ask for a seat, and hold up to two at once.

Everyone with a seat shares one group chat, from the Circle or your Inbox. When the Circle ends, the chat stays readable but closes to new messages.

Ask in English, Hindi or Hinglish about Credits, requests, Circles or what needs your attention. It only talks about the app, and says so when it doesn’t know.

The first time you open Apna Saathi, it asks what you’d like to call it. Rename it any time from your profile.

Get one free Credit a week, and earn more by finishing your profile, making connections, writing in Circles and coming back. Spend them on a priority introduction, a Second Look or a Spotlight; they can’t be bought and have no cash value.

A few days after you join, a short survey asks how things are going, and answering earns 3 Credits. You can also send feedback from the You tab any time.

Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted, and so is what we store. Chats are not end-to-end encrypted: a small number of authorised staff can open a specific conversation to act on a report or a support request.

You sign in with an Indian phone number and a one-time code. It’s never shown on your profile, and profiles can’t include numbers, emails or social handles.

Profiles live only inside the app, for members only. There’s no web page for you, nothing for search engines to find, and no open inbox.

The app blocks screenshots and screen recording. Each attempt is logged, and the person sees a confidentiality notice.

Reports are confidential and go to a real person; the other member isn’t told who reported them. Blocking removes the chat for both of you.

Declining, unmatching or blocking hides you from each other everywhere for 14 days. Choose "No, never" to make it permanent.

Pausing hides you from Members, Search and Pick of the Day, and shows you no one new. Your chats and requests stay just as they are.

Deleting your account removes your profile, connections, chats, documents and photos straight away. There’s no waiting period.
