How people join: apply, or be invited by family.
No lottery and no countdown. If you meet the standard, you can apply. Grown-up sons and daughters of members can join through a parent’s invite.
Membership

Every way in ends with the same checks: a document, DigiLocker, a short selfie and a person.
Apply as an officer
Serving officers of the IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS and the other Group A services apply with one proof of service.
Apply as a professional
A salary of ₹50 lakh or more, business turnover of ₹5 crore or more, a qualifying net worth, or recognition in your field.
Join through your family
Sons and daughters of members, 18 or older, with a parent’s invite code or our team’s check of their parent’s details.
Family invites
A family invite, step by step.
Officers and Elite Professionals can invite their own grown-up son or daughter from the app.
Your parent shares an invite code
From the You tab in the app, usually over WhatsApp. The code works once and expires.
Download the app and sign up
Use your own mobile number, then choose “Next Generation”.
Enter the code
Your parent then confirms in the app that it’s really you.
Add your birth certificate
It must show your parent’s name. Then DigiLocker and a short selfie, like every member.
A person reviews it
Once you’re approved, your parent receives 2 Sitaare as a thank-you.
Parent not on the app? You can still apply as Next Generation: tell us about their service or work, and our team checks the documents.
Waitlist
The waitlist, when it’s open.
When we let people in a few at a time, the waitlist keeps everyone’s place in order.
- Confirm your mobile with a six-digit code and answer the app’s first sign-up questions.
- You get a waitlist number, saved against your mobile.
- Sign up in the app later with the same number, and your place comes with you.
Good to know
What an invite doesn’t do.
- It doesn’t skip verification. Everyone is checked by a person.
- It doesn’t let your parent read your chats. They only confirm the invite was used by you.
- It isn’t transferable. A code is for a member’s own son or daughter, and works once.

No. A Next Generation member adds a birth certificate naming your parent, then the same DigiLocker check, selfie and review by a person as every other member.
